Rent My Paris Flat
My wife Connie and I have a small but truly charming 2-bedroom flat in the historic Montmartre section of Paris, which is offered for rent by the week at a rate that compares favorably with a moderate hotel. If you've never been to Paris, or if you always stay at a hotel when you do go, staying in a private apartment is a great way to experience the city. You'll see what daily life is like for Parisians.
You'll have your choice of nearby boulangeries (bread bakery), patisseries (pastry shops), cafes, open-air and street markets and everything else offered by a vibrant Paris neighborhood. When we stay there, for breakfast Connie makes a pot of coffee while I duck out to the corner boulangerie/patisserie to fetch croissants or petits pains au chocolat still warm from the oven. We have breakfast, including a glass of orange juice from the fridge, for about what one glass or two of orange juice would have cost us at a hotel. Or we go together to the little bakery around the corner that specializes in delicious whole grain rolls, muffins, and other baked goods, serves a full breafast menu and has an upstairs room with tables. And there's no more smoking in Paris!
The flat is fully equipped with every convenience, everything you need if you want to cook, TV, sound system with CDs, Wi-Fi for your laptop, maps, guidebooks and an instructional manual for the apartment with information on the neighborhood, transportation and other useful pointers. The place is thoroughly cleaned after each guest leaves, with freshly cleaned sheets, towels and other necessities. You'll be greeted upon arrival by our manager, who lives in the neighborhood. She will give you the keys and an orientation, and be available should you have any needs or questions.
You'll find everything you need to know about the flat, including photos -- location, list of amenities, cost and availability -- by going to our Web site here: http://www.perfectlyparis.com/Houdon%20Hideaway.html
