My background prior to real estate, with earlier careers in educational policy and in high-level corporate consulting and investigations, may be an unconventional one, but it has provided me with skills, knowledge and insights that have proved highly beneficial to my clients. Other useful experience includes extensive work and study abroad, most recently four years as Managing Director in my former company's Paris office (1991-95). While living in Paris, I served on the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in France, and was Chairman of its President's Council. Having earned a diploma for studies at the Sorbonne, I am fluent in French. Other higher education degrees have come from New School University (bachelor's), Oakland University (master's) and Columbia University (doctorate).
